This Privacy Policy explains how Live Gold Price ("the App", "we", "our") handles information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

The App itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to our servers. All user-generated data is stored locally on your device only, including:

Portfolio holdings (gold items, weights, purchase prices)
Price alerts you configure
App preferences (currency, weight unit, purity, theme)
Streak and gamification data (XP, badges, level)
Bookmarked news articles
Favorite currencies

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible by us.

2. Internet & Network Access

The App requires internet access for the following purposes:

Live gold price data – fetching real-time and historical gold prices from a third-party market data API.
Gold news – loading market news articles from external sources.
Advertising – serving ads via Google AdMob (see Section 4).

We use the ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission only to check whether a network connection is available before making requests, so the App can display an appropriate offline message instead of failing silently.

3. Third-Party Market Data

Live gold price and historical chart data are retrieved from a third-party API. When the App makes these requests, your device's IP address may be visible to that API provider as part of standard internet communication. We do not share any additional information with them.

4. Advertising – Google AdMob

      The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements (banner, interstitial,
      rewarded, app-open, and native ad formats). AdMob may collect and use data to serve
      personalized or non-personalized ads.
    

Data AdMob may collect includes:

Advertising ID (Android Ad ID)
IP address and approximate location
Device information (model, OS version)
App usage and interaction data

You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:
Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

6. Data Security

All data you enter (portfolio, alerts, settings) is stored locally on your device using Android's secure local storage. We have no access to this data. You can delete all app data at any time via your device's App settings.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, you can remove it at any time by:

Clearing the app's data via Settings → Apps → Live Gold Price → Clear Data
Uninstalling the application

Neither action requires contacting us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
